Terms of Service

By using Soloscape, you agree to these terms. Please take a moment to read them.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By creating an account or using Soloscape in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Soloscape. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be deleted immediately.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account — including a real profile photo and your real first name
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must notify us immediately at soloscapeapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • One account per person — creating multiple accounts is not permitted

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree NOT to use Soloscape to:

  • Post false, misleading, or deliberately inaccurate information
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or bully any other user
  • Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that promotes violence
  • Share another user's personal information without their consent (doxxing)
  • Solicit other users for money, commercial services, or romantic relationships in an unsolicited manner
  • Spam, advertise, or promote products or services without Soloscape's authorization
  • Attempt to access, scrape, or extract data from Soloscape through automated means
  • Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
  • Post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent safety features, moderation systems, or access controls

5. CONTENT YOU POST

  • You retain ownership of the content you post on Soloscape (photos, reviews, tips, messages)
  • By posting content, you grant Soloscape a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and use your content within the app and in promotional materials for the app
  • You represent that you have the right to post the content you share and that it does not violate anyone else's rights
  • You understand that content you post in Social Rooms may be seen by other matched users and that Soloscape admin can view room content for moderation purposes

6. SOCIAL ROOMS & COMMUNITY FEATURES

  • Social Rooms are private matched spaces — not public forums. You enter a room only when matched with other travelers by the system.
  • Soloscape is not responsible for the actions, behavior, or content of other users in Social Rooms or elsewhere on the platform
  • Soloscape is not responsible for any in-person meetups arranged through the app. Users who choose to meet in person do so entirely at their own discretion and risk
  • Safety Check-In is an optional feature. Soloscape is not responsible for missed check-ins or outcomes related to their use

7. MODERATION & ENFORCEMENT

Soloscape reserves the right to:

Remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice

Suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms

Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement authorities

Enforcement actions may include:

Appeals can be submitted to soloscapeapp@gmail.com.

  • Content removal
  • Warning issued to account
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account ban

8. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

You may delete your account at any time via Me → Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in behavior that endangers other users, or if we discontinue the service. In cases of termination due to violations, you may not create a new account.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Soloscape is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

User-generated content reflects the opinions of individual users and not Soloscape.

  • The app will be available at all times or free from errors
  • Tips, reviews, and community content posted by users are accurate or current
  • Matches made through Social Rooms will result in positive connections

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soloscape and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to in-person meetups arranged through the platform, reliance on user-generated content, or loss of data.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Soloscape name, logo, slogan ("Wander Together."), and all app design elements are the intellectual property of Soloscape. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute them without written permission.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved under US law.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify users via email if changes are material. Continued use of Soloscape after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance.
